"Progress report... L has been ambitious this week! Normally, I encourage him to read things that are confidence builders, a bit on the easier side for him. However, this week, he has been bound and determined to read a chapter book on his own. He started with Zac Power Spy Recruit on Monday evening. After finishing that one last night, he started Stink, the Incredible Shrinking Kid tonight. He is so proud of himself! I told him that when he started with you in July, he probably would have burst into tears if you had asked him to read one page of one of those books! He has carried around a big fat chapter book, the Life of Ginger Pie since he was teeny tiny, always pretending to "read" it...he is realizing his dream and it is SO exciting! He said, "It's so easy to get sucked into a good book."
Thank you Kathy for your critical role in helping him get here and encouraging him through the tough days!"

"Ms. Kathy does an amazing job with my daughter. She looks forward to class every week and has been steadily improving her skills. Ms. Kathy is always so patient and gentle in her approach, yet pushes my daughter to continue to grow and learn."

"Hello! I just wanted to share with you. We got a fabulous update from our son's teacher on Friday. He has almost doubled his letter sound accuracy and whole word fluency, since the beginning of the year. Thank you Kathy, for all you are doing!"

"Our son brought home Stanley, Flat Again from the school library yesterday and told me that is what he wanted to read for his reading yesterday. He was bound and determined and sure enough, he read part of it to me! A few months ago, he would have absolutely melted down at the mere thought of attempting this book! He told me, "It doesn't have that many words Mom!" Amazing! Thank you Kathy!"
